Overview of Research Tissue Bank

Welcome to the Pennsylvania Cancer Alliance Research Tissue Bank.

Access to well qualified tissue samples is fundamental to biomedical research. Leading Pennsylvania cancer centers, with support from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, have therefore developed this site for the exchange of de-identified information on consented tissue samples available to Pennsylvanian and national researchers. Institutions collaborating in this effort include the University of Pittsburgh, Fox Chase Cancer Center, the University of Pennsylvania, Thomas Jefferson University, Penn State University and the Wistar Research Institute. To date, the initiative has made available over 57,000 highly annotated Breast Cancer, Prostate Cancer and Melanoma tissue samples.
